Another signing from Häcken joins WSL
The transfer window opened on Friday, and Liverpool has already made its first winter signing. She is 22-year-old Swedish player Alice Bergström, who comes from swedish master Häcken.
- Bergström, 22, joins Liverpool on an undisclosed fee, making her part of the club’s January recruiting ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 Women’s Super League season.
- She primarily plays as a winger or attacking midfielder and has been a key figure for Häcken, contributing to their 2025 Damallsvenskan title and strong offensive play.
- The move reunites her with fellow Swedes Beata Olsson and Cornelia Kapocs at Liverpool, bolstering the Merseyside squad with familiar national teammates.
- Liverpool, currently struggling near the bottom of the WSL, view Bergström as a creative attacking addition to help improve their league position.
- Prior to Häcken, Bergström played for Tyresö FF, Älvsjö AIK and Djurgården in Sweden, and has featured for Swedish youth national teams (U19 and U23).
