- Anneke Borbe’s agreement with VfL Wolfsburg officially ended in summer 2025—she was one of ten players whose contract was not renewed.
- Aged 24, the German shot-stopper became Wolfsburg’s starting keeper mid-season, featuring in 10 Bundesliga fixtures and three Champions League matches last campaign.
- Borbe will join current keepers Daphne van Domselaar and Manuela Zinsberger in place. Arsenal pursued her as Zinsberger’s contract looks set to expire, and her experience brings options under pressure.
