Elena Sadiku is appointed as Swedish master's head coach
BK Häcken FF has appointed Elena Sadiku as its new head coach, replacing Mak Lind after the club’s 2025 Damallsvenskan title.
- Sadiku, 32, signed the contract following her departure from Celtic, where she made history and achieved notable success.
- She said she feels “honoured and proud” to lead the reigning Swedish champions and contribute to the club’s future.
- Sadiku’s past roles include assistant coaching in China (Beijing BG Phoenix), FC Rosengård and Fortuna Hjørring, and head coach positions at Eskilstuna United and Everton U21 before Celtic.
- She led Celtic to their first ever Scottish Women's Premier League title in 2023–24 and historic Champions League group stage qualification.
- Her competitive debut for BK Häcken FF is scheduled for 11 February, when the club faces Icelandic side Breiðablik in a Europa Cup fixture.
