End of rumors. Trinity Rodman stays in Washington
There has been much speculation that American star Trinity Rodman would change teams and join the WSL after her contract in Washington ended. The rumors are now over.
- U.S. women’s national team forward signed a new three-year contract with the Washington Spirit, keeping her at her current club at least until 2028.
- The deal is worth over $2 million per year including bonuses, making her the highest-paid player in NWSL history and reportedly the highest-paid female footballer in the world.
- Chelsea and other clubs in Europe were interested in Rodman. The speculation is now over, Rodman is staying in America.
