French international Cascarino is leaving San Diego Wave for London City Lionesses
San Diego Wave FC and French forward Delphine Cascarino mutually mutually agreed to terminate the contract before the start of the 2026 season. Shortly afterwards, Cascarino announced that she was heading to London City Lionesses.
- Cascarino decided to move on due to personal considerations and a desire to be closer to home.
- San Diego Wave’s Sporting Director Camille Ashton emphasized Cascarino’s importance to the team, noting the club respected her decision after thoughtful discussions.
- Across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Cascarino made 34 appearances (30 starts), scored seven goals, and provided nine assists in all competitions.
- She joined San Diego Wave previously on a deal through 2026 (with a mutual option for 2027), having signed from Lyon in July 2024.
- On the same day, it became clear that Cascarino would not be returning to France, but would try her luck in the WSL. She signed a three-year contract with London City Lionesses
