Hammarby strengthened by new NWSL signing
During the transfer window, the Swedish vice-champion lost key players such as Julie Blakstad and Smilla Holmberg, who left for the WSL. However, Madison Pogarch from the USA will now strengthen the team.
- Madison Pogarch plays as a left back and joined Hammarby on two year contract.
- Before the move, Pogarch played several seasons in the NWSL, featuring for Portland Thorns FC, San Diego Wave FC, and most recently the Utah Royals.
- Known for defensive strength and versatility on the left flank, she brings top-flight experience from U.S. women’s football to Hammarby’s defensive unit.
