Hanna Lundkvist is leaving San Diego
Her next destination remains unknown. Speculation suggests that Manchester United may be interested in the Swedish defender.
- "I remember two years ago when I took the decision to leave Europe and move across the world. It was one of the hardest decision I ever made. But now, leaving this place feel way harder." With this words, 23 old Swedish defender announced her departure from NWSL club.
- Lunkvist, who previously played for Hammarby and Atlético Madrid, spend two seasons in San Diego Wave, played in 43 matches and scored 3 goals.
- Her contract came to an end so she become free agent.
- Lundkvist has attracted interest from other big European clubs — including Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United — but is reportedly keen to return to Europe and play closer to home.
