- At Euro 2025, Hampton became England’s first-choice goalkeeper, delivering crucial performances as the Lionesses secured the title.
- She saved two penalties in the Euro 2025 final shootout against Spain, helping England win 3–1 after a 1–1 draw, and was central to their successful title defence.
- Hampton also produced two shootout saves in the quarter-final against Sweden, following a dramatic England comeback from 2–0 down to 2–2, further cementing her reputation as a penalty specialist.
- In the public vote, Alessia Russo finished second and Spain’s Aitana Bonmatí placed third, with Spain’s Patri Guijarro and Mariona Caldentey also shortlisted by an expert panel.
- Hampton is only the second goalkeeper ever to win the award, following fellow England keeper Mary Earps, who won in 2023.
