Inter Milan is out of Champions League
Although Inter Milan was the slight favorite, it was unable to defeat Norway's SK Brann in the Champions League qualifiers, which it was playing in for the first time.
Match narrative:
- 7′: Vilhjálmsdóttir scored Inter’s first goal in European competition, marking her inaugural goal as a Nerazzurra.
- 13′: Zomers equalised for Brann.
- 56′: Gaupset put Brann ahead, with both goals coming in each half.
- Late on, Inter almost levelled via an overhead kick from Polli that narrowly missed.
- Following the loss, Inter will face the loser of Valur vs Braga in the third-place play-off on Saturday at 11:00 CEST. The winner secures a spot in the new UEFA Women’s Europa Cup.
