It's official. Kössler is going to the new NWSL team
It has been clear for some time that German striker Melissa Kössler would be leaving Hoffenheim for the NWSL. Now, however, we know which colors she will be wearing from the new season onwards.
- Denver Summit FC have signed German forward Melissa Kössler from TSG Hoffenheim, adding an experienced international attacker ahead of the club’s inaugural NWSL season, along their newest signing Lindsey Heaps.
- German forward has played for TSG Hoffenheim since 2022, making 50+ league appearances and scoring more than 20 goals, establishing herself as a consistent attacking threat.
- Kössler came through the youth and senior ranks at FFC Turbine Potsdam and also has prior experience in the United States college soccer system, giving her familiarity with the American game.
