Jill Roord is leaving Manchester City for FC Twente
- On May 24, 2025, Manchester City confirmed that Dutch midfielder Jill Roord has signed a permanent deal with FC Twente.
- Dutch international returns to FC Twente, the club where she began her professional career in 2013, before stints at Bayern Munich, Arsenal, VfL Wolfsburg, and Manchester City. Her dad is former Dutch footballer René Roord, who also played for Twente.
- In the 2024/25 season, Roord made 31 appearances, netting six goals and contributing three assists. She scored in her final match for City against Crystal Palace on the last day of the season.
