London City Lionesses appointed a new head coach
The new coach is 39-year-old Spaniard Eder Maestre. LCL will play their first match under his leadership on January 11.
- London City Lionesses have appointed Spanish coach Eder Maestre as their new Head Coach, signing him on a contract through summer 2028.
- Maestre arrives from Spain with extensive experience in women’s football, most recently as head coach of CD Tenerife Femenino in Spain’s top tier, where he led them to their tenth consecutive top-flight season.
- Previously, Maestre spent three seasons as assistant coach at Real Sociedad Femenino, helping the club finish second in Liga F and reach the Copa de la Reina final.
- He has also held technical and sporting management roles at Zalla and Sestao River, and served as youth methodology director for SD Eibar, underscoring his coaching and development background.
