Madelen Janogy’s future remains purple after signing new Fiorentina deal
Sweden international Madelen Janogy will remain in Italy with purple future. She has extended her contract with Fiorentina, the club she joined in 2024 from swedish side Hammarby in Damallsvenskan, until 2028.
The decision does not come as a surprise for either the club or the 30-year-old forward. Janogy has thrived in Florence, scoring 50 goals across two seasons — an impressive return in Serie A Femminile. From this season, she is also joined in the squad by her Sweden teammate Lina Hurtig, who arrived from Arsenal and is currently recovering from a long-term injury.
Fiorentina currently sit sixth in the league, but are only four points off third place Juventus, which would secure qualification for European competition. Fight is not over yet and Fiorentina wants to show all they have - including players like Janogy.
