Mary Fowler's future is blue
Although she is currently recovering from a knee injury, her club still counts on her. Mary Fowler has extended her contract with Manchester City until 2027.
- Fowler originally joined City in mid-2022 from Montpellier and has become a pivotal attacking presence, despite having her 2024–25 season cut short by an anterior cruciate ligament injury in April 2025.
- To date she has played 87 matches for City, scoring 21 goals and contributing 22 assists in all competitions.
- Internationally, Fowler has already earned 64 caps for Australia, and was instrumental in their run to the 2023 World Cup semi-finals. Matildas came fourth after lost 0:2 to Sweden in bronze medal match.
- The extension signals City’s long-term faith in Fowler’s recovery and contributions, positioning her as a cornerstone in their attacking ambitions once she returns to full fitness.
