Nice gesture from Liga F. Spanish League delivered boots to players without sponsors
Liga F has delivered boots to players who do not have their own sponsor. This involved 34 players from nine clubs: Sevilla, Athletic Bilbao, Eibar, Espanyol, Alhama, Badalona, Deportivo, DUX Logroño, and Costa Adeje Tenerife. The aim is to ensure that all female players have good training conditions. The move will help improve development and create more equal conditions in Spanish women's soccer, which has long struggled with inconsistent performances and huge gap between teams on the top of the table.
- The boot deliveries are meant to ensure that every player has the essential sporting equipment needed to perform at a professional level, regardless of whether they have individual sponsorship contracts with sports brands.
- Beatriz Álvarez, President of Liga F, emphasized that this tangible measure demonstrates the importance of social dialogue and the collective agreement as tools for building a more equitable, sustainable, and professionally supportive environment for women’s football.
- The delivered boots are viewed as more than equipment — they symbolize a concrete advancement in players’ rights and working conditions, underlining the league’s belief that talent, dedication, and effort merit real and lasting support.
