Rachel Daly is honored with MBE
Rachel Daly has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2025 for her services to association football.
- She hails from Harrogate, attended Rossett School, and enjoys a long and distinguished playing career both domestically and internationally.
- Internationally, Daly was part of England’s triumphant UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 squad, and also represented England in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
- Daly announced her international retirement in April 2024, but continues to play at club level in the Women’s Super League for Aston Villa. With her best friend Millie Bright she co-host a podcast called Daly Brightness.
- The recognition also highlights her versatility and impact on the sport, both on the pitch and as a role model off it.
