Sjoeke Nüsken extends Contract and reveals what makes the Blues so special
Midfielder Sjoeke Nüsken has signed a new deal with Chelsea, expressing her deep connection to the club, its fans, and the winning culture that makes the Blues feel like home.
- Sjoeke Nüsken recalls her first Champions League match for Chelsea — away to Real Madrid in November 2023 — as the moment she “truly realised” what it meant to be part of Chelsea. Before the game, veteran goalkeeper Ann-Katrin Berger told her, “now you are playing with the big girls”, which made her feel like she truly belonged.
- This season, Chelsea are opening their Champions League campaign by hosting Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge. Nusken says it feels even more special to start at home in front of the fans.
- One of her most vivid memories is the semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge, when the stadium was sold out and the atmosphere was electric — she says it made her feel that she was really part of Chelsea, and that it was a dream come true.
