Sparta Prague gained new signing from Liga F
Sparta Prague, a club competing in the Europa Cup, will be boosted by Alena Pěčková from Spain's Eibar. The defender has been out of action for several months due to injury.
- Pěčková returns to the Czech Women’s First League after playing abroad with Spanish club SD Eibar.
- She began her senior football career in Uherské Hradiště and became a regular starter with 1. FC Slovácko over several seasons, earning a reputation as a consistent performer. She was the first Czech female footballer to sign a contract with a top European league without having previously played for Sparta or Slavia, the biggest clubs in Czechia.
- In February, Sparta will face Austria Vienna for a spot in the Europa Cup semifinals. They also lead the domestic competition by five points ahead of defending champions Slavia.
