Successful transfer. Jess Park has been named as Player of the month
Month of newcomers. Jess Park transferred from Manchester City to United, their main rivals, at the start of the season, but immediately became player of the month—the change of environment has clearly suited her. Coach of the month was Andrée Jeglertz, the Manchester City coach who recently took over the club.
- Jess Park’s flair, calmness under pressure, and eye for goal have powered Manchester United’s impressive October run, including coming off the bench to score two goals in a comeback win vs Everton. — earning her the Barclays Player of the Month award!
- The Manager of the Month award went to Andrée Jeglertz of Manchester City Women, after the team went unbeaten in October and picked up key victories (including a late winner vs Arsenal and a come-from-behind win at Anfield).
- The Goal of the Month accolade was awarded to Kirsty Hanson of Aston Villa Women, for a standout strike against West Ham United that topped the public vote.
- The winners were chosen via a combination of public vote and a panel of industry experts.
