The Lionesses go back to their roots
- Ahead of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, each England squad member was presented with a shirt from her first-ever football club during a special ceremony at St George’s Park on June 23, 2025.
- 26 different grassroots and youth clubs were represented—including teams like Alnwick Town FC (Lucy Bronze) and Villarreal (Hannah Hampton who grew up in Spain)—highlighting their varied pathways into professional football.
- Around 150 club coaches and players attended to see their former stars and celebrate the role local volunteers played in nurturing the talent.
