TOT vs. LEI: Spurs attack the top of the table thanks to Neville's own goal
Previous matches between Tottenham and Leicester have been very close, but Spurs have had the upper hand in most of them, and today was no exception. The match ended 1-0 for the home side Spurs, with the three points moving them up to fourth place, level on points with Arsenal, who drew with Manchester United yesterday.
Unlike yesterday's game, not all of the winter reinforcements made their debut today. Matilda Nildén and Hanna Wijk are still waiting for their debut. However, unlike yesterday, some of the winter reinforcements were already in the starting lineup.
At Tottenham, we can specifically mention Signe Gaupset, who was even named player of the match. On the other hand, Sarah Mayling and Ash Neville made their debut for their new team. Another winter signing, Emma Jansson, was not in the starting lineup, but came on in the 74th minute.
The only goal of the match came from a corner kick, when Ash Neville managed to knock the ball into the net. However, the long-time Tottenham player was playing for the opposing team today and made her debut at her new club with an own goal.
