AZ or AZ Vrouwen is a women's football club based in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. They were founding members of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007 and won the league's first three championships.

She played for AZ MO17 (Under-17) before moving into the club’s reserve and senior setup.

She has played in multiple positions during her career, including right back and central midfield.

De Ridder has been regularly called up for Netherlands youth national teams, representing the country at U17, U19, and U20 levels.

She has represented the Netherlands at youth international level, appearing for the U16 and U17 national teams.

In early 2025, Booms emerged as a potential starting goalkeeper at AZ after first-choice keeper Femke Liefting moved to Chelsea, opening opportunities for the young keeper.

Op de Weegh has represented the Netherlands at youth international levels including U15, U16, and U17 tournaments.

Stoop has stated that one of her career goals is to play for the Netherlands senior national team and eventually compete in England.

In 2025 she won the UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship with the Netherlands, contributing one goal and three assists during the tournament.

Ellouzi progressed through the Twente system and made her senior debut for the club in the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2016.

She joined AZ Alkmaar at the start of the 2023–24 season, shortly after the club relaunched its women’s team in the Dutch top division.

She was named in the Netherlands U19 squad for an international four-nation tournament involving the United States, Spain, and England.

Bakker later joined Ajax in 2012 and spent two separate spells at the club, becoming one of the most experienced players in the team’s history

She has played for multiple Netherlands youth national teams, with a highlight being the UEFA Women’s Under-17 European Championship final in Bulgaria.
