She did not start out as an attacker. In her early years she played as a goalkeeper and defender, and only moved up front after volunteering to fill in as a striker at a tournament and scoring straight away.

When she signed her first professional deal with FC Utrecht in August 2025, she said the club had been “my club” since childhood.
