First NWSL goal for Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir!
Angel City’s new Icelandic forward Sveindís Jónsdóttir finally found the back of the net in the 88th minute, scoring her first NWSL goal in a hard-fought 2–1 defeat against North Carolina Courage. Though the late strike wasn’t enough to grab a result, it marked a major personal milestone, especially following the transfer of Alyssa Thompson—Sveindís now looks set to play a much bigger role in the attack for the rest of the season.
