Giulia Gwinn suffered huge misfortune when she injured her knee in Germany’s opening match at the Euros, bringing her tournament to an early end and forcing her to miss the start of the season as well. Now, however, she’s back on the pitch and helped Bayern secure a 4–0 home win over Freiburg. Also on the scoresheet was Lena Oberdorf, who had likewise been sidelined with a long-term injury.
