Matildas duo helped Chelsea to win in little London derby
Chelsea secured a hard-fought 2–0 victory over London City Lionesses in their first ever WSL London derby, maintaining their unbeaten domestic run under manager Sonia Bompastor. The match, played in front of 10,441 fans at Stamford Bridge, saw early momentum swing in Chelsea’s favour when defender Ellie Carpenter opened the scoring in just the sixth minute with her first goal for the club.
