This time, our Future Queen series heads to Denmark — a country that has given women’s football the likes of Pernille Harder, Signe Bruun or Nadia Nadim for example. And in Brøndby, another special talent may just be born.

At just 16, she has already made 37 league appearances, scored seven goals and earned a contract extension with a top-flight club. The player in question is Mila Bischoff, the talented midfielder from Denmark’s Brøndby.

"Mila is a very special talent, and we are delighted to have extended her contract. She combines high football intelligence with a strong technical level and a maturity that is unusual for her age," said Kim André Pedersen, Head of Women’s Football, shortly after Mila signed her new contract.

For someone so young, Bischoff already has plenty of experience under her belt. At just 15, she caught the attention of Brøndby IF while playing for FC Nordsjælland. The successful Danish club moved quickly, offering the teenager a long-term contract.

It is clear that the investment has paid off — as her statistics already suggest. Bischoff has become a regular presence in the side, earning valuable minutes to continue her development. The club has now rewarded that progress with a contract extension, with her previous deal set to expire this year.

It is no coincidence that Brøndby came calling. The connection is beginning to resemble a family tradition. Mila’s father, Mikkel Bischoff, spent a significant part of his career at the same club and also had a spell in England. Her cousin Clement likewise represented Brøndby before moving to RB Salzburg in 2025.

Mile has also established herself as a key figure in Denmark’s youth national teams and, at this rate, a senior call-up may not be far away. Denmark has a proud history in women’s football, though major success has proved elusive in recent years. Perhaps it is talents like Mile Bischoff who can help spark the next breakthrough.
