She started playing football at nine because her younger brother wanted to play, and after two years of indoor football she joined Palm Beach Soccer Club on the Gold Coast.

She says she now needs two cups of coffee to match everyone else’s energy levels.

She has lived in 11 countries across three continents.

One of her childhood idols was former Matildas defender Prue Cormie—and that helped inspire her move to America.

She completed a Bachelor of Science (Geography) while at the University of Nevada.

As a nine-year-old in Perth watching the men’s 1994 World Cup, she knew football was what she wanted to do.

Surfing was a real part of her routine: she’d sometimes wake at 5:00am to surf before work.

Her mom is Swedish.

Asked what she’d do if she wasn’t a footballer, she said she’d travel with David Attenborough doing wildlife and human cultural photography/research, and donate to aid organisations.

In 2022, she spoke publicly about fundraising to support her younger brother Noa after his brain tumour diagnosis, including shaving her head on the pitch.
