She’s been close friends with Swiss star Alisha Lehmann for over a decade—they played together at Young Boys Bern until 2018 and remain inseparable. Amira calls Alisha “like a sister”.

She studied Law at the Freiburg University.

She only started playing football at age 14, after trying many other sports. Just one year later, she debuted in Switzerland’s top league.

As a youth player with BSC Young Boys, she won three national titles.

She made her Nationalliga A debut when she was just 15 years old.

In 2019, after her third major knee surgery on the same knee, her doctor advised her to stop playing football.

Before football, she tried track and field, karate, table tennis, and tennis. Coaches were shocked she had never played for a club before joining Young Boys.
