Cecilia is part of a growing contingent of Finnish talent at IK Uppsala, joining fellow countrywoman and goalkeeper Matilda Nurmi.

On the pitch, she is noted for her tactical discipline; she played the entire 2025 league season without receiving a single yellow or red card.

Cecilia is a bilingual talent, growing up with strong ties to both Finland and Sweden. Her family lived in Sweden for six years during her childhood, where she played for BK Örnen before moving back to Finland.

Before turning professional, Cecilia spent a year training and playing with the Helsinki Football Academy (HFA), where she frequently competed in regional leagues against boys' teams to improve her physical strength and speed of play.
