She was already playing senior football at just 14 years old, when she broke into Bahia's first team and was regarded as one of the club's brightest young prospects.

Before joining Bahia, Milena represented both Galícia and Vitória in youth football, giving her experience with three traditional clubs from Salvador before reaching the professional level.

Despite describing herself as naturally shy when speaking, she was already known for playing confidently once she stepped onto the pitch.

Milena's family always supported her football dream, but her mother insisted that school came first and made sure she never neglected her education.

Milena became part of Vitória's history in 2017 when she received the club's first-ever senior Brazil women's national team call-up, alongside goalkeeper Maryana.
