Her favorite meal is a barbecue brown sugar crusted salmon with mango avocado salsa and coconut milk rice, a recipe shared by her teammate Nicole Barnhart. It’s an easy and delicious dish that she and her husband love to make.

Her favorite movies are How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days and She’s the Man, calling both of them classics that she has enjoyed over the years.

Her favorite TV show is Friends, which she often puts on in the background. For guilty pleasures, she enjoys reality shows like Love is Blind and The Bachelor, though she avoids Love Island because she fears becoming too hooked.

She has recently taken up sewing and is enjoying the learning process. She has crocheted in the past but would need to relearn it.

She listens to folky alternative music and is currently a big fan of Zach Bryan. She finds his mellow music perfect for reflecting during her drives to and from training.

She and her husband often eat at Artie’s, a convenient local chain restaurant near their home, although she wouldn’t call it her favorite.

She considers Australia the coolest place she has visited, especially her trip to the Great Ocean Road while playing for Melbourne City FC.

Her non-football goal is to grow her podcast and other ventures to the point where they become her career after retiring from football. She also wants to expand her football camps and personal brand.

She originally wanted #6 because there are six members in her family, but when it was taken, she chose #33 because 3+3 equals 6. It’s unique and has always been available on every team she’s joined.

She played tennis, softball, and basketball before focusing on football in high school. While she didn’t enjoy tennis at first, she now wishes she had played it more.

She is most proud of winning the NWSL Championship in 2021. That season was filled with challenges both on and off the field, making it rewarding to lift the trophy after all the hard work.

Almond milk and eggs are staples in her fridge since she eats an egg every morning.

She married her husband, Jeff Van Buren, in 2019.

Her dream car is the one she currently owns - Toyota 4Runner. She named it Luna.

She earned a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Brigham Young University.

She was an assistant coach at Utah Valley University while her sister was on the team.

She has three younger siblings.

In 2024, she was one of five active NWSL players who represented the NWSL Players Association at the final negotiations in Philadelphia that updated the league's collective bargaining agreement through 2030.
