Moeka became so fond of premium chewing kelp after receiving it as a gift that she started buying it for herself. She also loves the firm, crunchy texture of whelk sushi.

Moeka used to spend train journeys playing Disney Tsum Tsum, and her Urawa teammates joked that she was so good that her in-game hearts never seemed to run out.

Moeka’s dream destination in Japan is Okinawa, where she would happily spend most of her time swimming and enjoying the sea.

Before the 2023 World Cup, young footballers, former classmates and coaches from Moeka’s hometown filled a Japanese flag with around 200 handwritten messages of support for her.
