Confirmed: Ewa Pajor have NOT torn her ACL
Despite initial fears, Ewa Pajor did not suffer an ACL injury in Sunday’s match. However, she will still be sidelined for several weeks.
- Barça announced that Ewa Pajor, 28, has avoided an ACL tear but suffered a knee injury (posterolateral part of the right knee) and is expected to be out 4–6 weeks.
- The injury occurred during Barcelona’s 6:0 Liga F win over Atlético Madrid, where Pajor had scored the third goal.
- Initial fears of serious damage or need for surgery were allayed by tests confirming no associated damage, enabling a conservative treatment plan.
- Pajor has been in red-hot form this season, netting eight goals in eight appearances across all competitions, including a brace in Barça’s 7:1 Champions League win versus Bayern Munich.
- As the team’s only natural striker, her absence forces coach Pere Romeu to adjust tactics and deploy players like Clàudia Pina, Salma Paralluelo, Alexia Putellas, or Kika Nazareth in the No. 9 role.
