Hanna Lundkvist is Red Devil. Manchester United signed Swedish international
The speculation has been confirmed. The Swedish defender is heading to Manchester United, where she will join fellow Swedes Fridolina Rolfö, Julia Zigiotti Olme and Anna Sandberg.
- Manchester United Women have confirmed the signing of Swedish international Hanna Lundkvist, with the deal agreed on 27 December 2025 and effective 1 January 2026, pending international clearance and registration.
- Lundkvist, 23, has signed a contract running until June 2029, committing her long-term future to the club.
- She primarily plays as a full-back and has senior caps for the Sweden national team, including UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
- Her club career includes spells at San Diego Wave (USA), Atlético Madrid (Spain), Hammarby and AIK (Sweden) so this is gonna be her first time playing in England.
- Her signing strengthens United’s squad depth ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 season, where they compete in the WSL, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Women’s Champions League.
