Millie Turner injury update: she did NOT suffered ACL in last match

Good news for Manchester United fans. Millie Turner was stretchered off in the last match against London City Lionesses. Fortunately, the worst-case scenario — an ACL injury — has not been confirmed.

  • Millie Turner, Manchester United Women defender, was stretchered off during the second half of their 5-1 WSL win vs London City Lionesses on Sunday.
  • In the press conference on 17 September 2025, ahead of the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League third-round qualifier vs Brann (to be played Thursday 18 September at 19:00 BST at Leigh Sports Village), head coach Marc Skinner confirmed the injury is a knee issue.
  • The good news: it is not a major ligament injury — not ACL, not LCL nor MCL — and seems less serious than initial fears.
  • Turner will undergo further tests and a second opinion by the end of the week to fully assess her condition. Skinner expects to give a more detailed update next week once those are done.
  • Despite the relatively positive diagnosis, Turner is unlikely to be available for the upcoming second leg vs Brann.
