New era. Lyon is changing name to OL Lyonnes
- Majority owner of the club Michele Kang announced that Olympique Lyonnais Féminin will rebrand as OL Lyonnes. The new name combines "lioness" with "Lyon," symbolizing strength and a connection to the city. Kang is also owner of english club London City Lionesses, which recently promoted to Women's Super League.
- The rebranding introduces a new logo featuring a roaring red lioness with blue and gold accents and the motto "New Story, Same Legend," reflecting the club's heritage and future ambitions.
- The women's team will swap training facilities with the club's boys' academy, renovating the new space into a performance center specifically designed for female athletes
- OL Lyonnes will now play all home games at the 59,000-seat Groupama Stadium, which previously hosted the 2019 Women's World Cup final. This move aims to provide players and fans with a premier matchday experience.
