Young Czech talent is heading to Nürnberg
For the first time in years, the Czech Republic has a representative in the Frauen-Bundesliga again. Aneta Polášková, who joined Sparta Prague last season and quickly became their top scorer, is now set to play for 1. FC Nürnberg.
- Ahead of the upcoming Women’s Bundesliga season, 1. FC Nürnberg’s women’s side (ClubFrauen) confirmed the signing of Czech striker Aneta Polášková from Sparta Prag, bolstering their attacking options for the campaign.
- At age 23, Polášková arrives with an impressive record—15 goals across 20 league appearances last season—underscoring her reputation as a consistent and clinical forward.
- Trained at 1. FC Slovácko and later starring for Sparta Prague, she has featured regularly in UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying campaigns over the past four seasons for both clubs - Sparta and Slovácko.
- Polášková is a recognized member of the Czech national team and has already scored in the Women’s Nations League on her debut in May.
