Her parents are her greatest role models, and she credits her parents, siblings and wider family with making her football journey possible.

Giada was nicknamed “Cancelina” during her Palermo days — a feminine nod to João Cancelo, inspired by the way she carried the ball forward and moved inside from wider positions.

Alongside professional football, Giada studies Communication Sciences and could one day see herself talking about the game on the radio or interviewing other players.

Reading and listening to music are her favourite ways to switch off, with reggaeton and mainstream pop among the sounds most likely to appear on her playlist.

Giada represented AS Roma at a Women’s Day initiative offering free Pap tests and thyroid screenings, helping promote prevention and women’s health.

Proudly Palermitan, Giada shared traditional food from home with her Roma teammates, and family visits with cannoli quickly turned into dressing-room celebrations.
