Lucia’s football journey began as a father-daughter story: inspired by her father, she started playing with boys on local pitches in Monza when she was just five years old.

Away from the pitch, Lucia combines professional football with studying Literature at the University of Bergamo — a demanding balance she has described as one of the biggest challenges in her life.

A lucky phone call with her grandmother became Lucia’s special pre-match ritual. Before scoring her first Serie A goal — a dramatic 92nd-minute winner against Inter — her grandmother wished her luck, and they later agreed to repeat the call before future matches.

Lucia describes herself as cheerful and ambitious, while spending time with her friends is one of her favourite ways to switch off from football.

When imagining her life ten years from now, Lucia said that her greatest wish was to keep the same joy and carefree spirit she has today — and to remain connected to football in some way.
