Maddalena made her Serie A debut at only fifteen years old, appearing for Riviera di Romagna against Fiorentina.

Maddalena turned one of the most difficult periods of her career into the subject of her university studies — after undergoing ACL surgery herself, she completed a Sports Science degree with a thesis on rehabilitation following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.

Less than a year after suffering her serious knee injury, Maddalena scored in the match that mathematically secured Ternana’s historic promotion to Serie A.
